He's not dead, he will return! - That was the hope of many families after the Second World War. But the relatives remained missing, his fate for decades uncertain. 290 German, 7 Sowjet, 1 Polnish/etnic German, and 16 unknown war victims of WW2 are buried here for eternity in this forest cemetery.

Reimsbach War Cemetery - (Ehrenfriedhof)

The Reimsbach War Cemetery is a military cemetery located in the State of Saarland, on the foothills of the mountain range Hunzrück. The Forest War Cemetery was inaugurated by the 95th Infantry Division of the German Wehrmacht in the spring of 1940 and is the final resting place of 314 War Victims of different nationalities from the Second World War.

Reimsbach, Kriegsgräberstätte - Ehrenfriedhof

Der Reimsbacher Ehrenfriedhof ist ein Soldatenfriedhof im Bundesland Saarland gelegen an den Ausläufern des Hunzrück Gebirges. Der Waldfriedhof wurde von der 95. Infanterie-Division der Deutschen Wehrmacht im Frühjahr 1940 angelegt und ist die letzte Ruhestätte von 314 Kriegsopfer verschiedener Nationalitäten aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg.

The majority of members of the 95th ID, about 136 are, lost there lives during the attack on the Maginot Line on 05.13.1940 and the following days between Saarlautern, Beckingen / Saar and Merzig / Saar across the border on French soil.
